This is a file folder activity for students to practice identifying the digraphs ch, sh, wh, and th in pictures and then placing them with the correct digraph. This is a great activity to use in centers or as a part of a work system. Students know when they have completed the task when the pictures have been placed with the corresponding digraph.

Activity to be used first while teacher is leading calendar time and slowly increasing expectations on completing the task independently. Includes ten frame templates to mark as each day of school progress. This could be a cut and paste activity but I use it as a Velcro daily activity in my classroom with students with disabilities.

Build a word is a blend word building activity which can be trellised to increase or decrease difficulty depending on student needs. Level 1: Place blend in first position on file folder and the ending consonant in its place. Student then would identify the vowel necessary for the word. Level 2: Place blend and vowel on file folder and have student identify ending sound needed. Level 3: Place only the beginning blend on file folder to have students build word.
