Teaching style

Neurodiverse children often learn best through visual, practical and hands-on learning. I like to incorporate a lot of tangible hands-on materials categorized by colour for English Language Arts and Mathematics to help my children build a solid foundation of understanding by associating that concept with a colour. It has been a difficult journey to find multi-sensory curriculums and products that both challenge and engage my gifted learners at such an early age but also account for the learning challenges they face being twice-exceptional learners. Through a lot of trial and error and adapting I have discovered and created some resources that have helped us navigate our education journey and I have enjoyed sharing those materials with others through Teachers Pay Teachers. My children LOVE Numberblocks and Alphablocks so many of my resources are inspired by those shows.
