These notes coincide with the Scientific Notation PowerPoint that is also available. They allow students to build an understanding of what positive and negative coefficients mean, how to decide which coefficient to use, and how to multiply and divide numbers in scientific notation through comparison and practice. This lesson has worked well in my classroom to teach and review the basics of scientific notation.

This interactive PowerPoint allows students to select the organelle that they would like to study. Students click on the name of the organelle and are taken to a page with images and the basic facts about the organelle. Teachers can even modify the presentation to make sure any facts they want included are provided.
