This can be used with students to get to know more about their background! I had my summer school students (6th-9th grade) complete this on the first week and they loved it! It opened up a conversation in the home about their culture & background, and they had the option to share with the class if they liked.
It builds off multiplication concepts at its core, but draws upon mapping, planning, research and presentation skills. Students love to “shop” for cars and be in the driver’s seat of a cross country road trip. I’ve had students work independently on it or with a partner; the choice is yours.
