It builds off multiplication concepts at its core, but draws upon mapping, planning, research and presentation skills. Students love to “shop” for cars and be in the driver’s seat of a cross country road trip. I’ve had students work independently on it or with a partner; the choice is yours. In addition to touching upon Mapping and US Geography standards that vary by state, this project pulls together many skills across the common core curriculum: •MATH: 5.OA, 5.NF and 5.NS •ENGLISH LANGUAGE ART
