About the store
I have been teaching and tutoring young learners with special needs since 2012. This includes children with speech difficulties, developmental delay, anxiety disorders, autism, down-syndrome and rare genetic disorders. Since 2014 I am a program developer at a centre for children with special needs. I have also dealt with many behavioral problems, but I believe that every child can learn and that the behavior is just a form of communication. I focus greatly on the sensory needs of children as well as their emotional resilience.

Experience

I have been teaching and tutoring young learners with special needs since 2012. This includes children with speech difficulties, developmental delay, anxiety disorders, autism, down-syndrome and rare genetic disorders. Since 2014 I am a program developer at a centre for children with special needs. I have also dealt with many behavioral problems, but I believe that every child can learn and that the behavior is just a form of communication. I focus greatly on the sensory needs of children as well as their emotional resilience.

Teaching style

My main teaching style is through play. I asses the child's learning style and sensory profile and will adjust the session accordingly. When a child is enjoying the session and they can relate to you, I find that they also engage more in the lesson.

My own education history

I obtained my Honors degree in Psychology in 2010. Since then I have also done courses in behavioral management, Relationship Development Intervention, and Play therapy.
