Teaching style
My teaching style is all about heart, connection, and creativity! I believe kids thrive when they feel seen, heard, and celebrated—so I focus on building relationships, fostering emotional growth, and making learning feel like fun. Whether it’s through a kind note, a silly brain break, or a thoughtful SEL activity, I love creating moments that make students light up and feel proud of who they are.
Awards & shining teacher moments
One of my most meaningful moments was working with a middle school student who struggled with intense anger and often felt misunderstood. Over time, through consistent support, trust-building, and connecting her with the right resources, she began to open up and find healthier ways to express her feelings. One day, she told me, “I want to be a social worker—just like you—so I can help kids the way you helped me.” Watching her grow into her confidence and purpose was a reminder of why this work matters so much.
My own education history
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, along with a certificate in Child Advocacy and Trauma Studies. My education has given me a strong foundation in supporting the emotional and behavioral needs of children, especially those navigating tough experiences. I use that knowledge every day to create resources that are compassionate, empowering, and rooted in real-life classroom needs.
