For over 10 years I have worked with both children and teens in various areas of employment. Including, being an afterschool program staff member and teacher, preschool teacher, coach, skills development specialist, and a social worker specifically for children and youth. The lessons produced by He Sent Me Here are inspired by the work I have done among many young children, youth, and teens. As a social worker, pre-school teacher, coach, aunt, wife, daughter, and friend I have recognized and felt the pressure put upon children to look, think, and act in a certain way. Experience
For over 10 years I have worked with both children and teens in various areas of employment. Including, being an afterschool program staff member and teacher, preschool teacher, coach, skills development specialist, and a social worker specifically for children and youth. It is through these experiences that I have recognized just how essential social, emotional learning skills are to the overall development of children.
Teaching style
As an educator for social, emotional learning skills I believe it is important to incorporate both discussion and hands on experiences for learners. For this reason the lessons within this shop primarily focus on these two principles. This includes creating an environment to openly discuss thoughts and feelings, as well as practice the skills being taught.

Additional biographical information
I currently live in Arizona with my husband who is a medical student. We recently had our first little one, and I'm grateful to be able to now spend my days at home being a mom. I'm excited to share with you what I've learned through my studies and my prior work experiences, as well as how social emotional learning can be done in a home setting.
