Parts of the Ear-Intermediate with Data Collection Form

This PowerPoint has an interactive component for identifying parts of the ear. It is an intermediate level (uses the intermediate vocabulary for parts such as stirrup instead of stapes; eardrum instead of tympanic membrane, etc.) The student chooses the correct answer by clicking or touching their answer choice. For a correct answer, a check will appear. For an incorrect answer, an X will appear. A data collection sheet is included to collect data for progress monitoring, IEP goals, etc.

About the store

Experience

I have been teaching for 32 years, the last 5 focused as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Itinerate Teacher. I teach students from PreK to 12th grade. Each student has different needs requiring me to research and create materials that will benefit them.

Teaching style

My approach to teaching is a Demonstrator/Coaching method in that I show students what they need to know and then give them opportunities to explore what they have learned through multimedia, activity sheets created by others, and/or teacher-created materials. This allows them occasions to enhance their learning and practice demonstrating what they have learned.

My own education history

I attended the University of South Carolina - Aiken from 1986-1992 (took a few years off to focus on my family) with an Elementary degree. Later, I completed my Master's degree in Divergent Learners in 2008 from Columbia College. I then pursued my Deaf/Hard of Hearing certification in 2018-2019. I began teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing in 2019 to present.

Additional biographical information

I been married for 35 years and have two wonderful daughters. I have two grandchildren that I love dearly. I also enjoy sailing on our 36 foot sailboat with my husband. We are planning, in the future, to sail on it to the Bahamas and other islands in that area.
