Students practice rounding skills with this fun game. This can also be a math workshop center with minor edits (no partner).
Directions: You need a partner (or two) and 4 dice.
1. Roll your dice. Make a 4-digit number. Write it in the first column of the record sheet.
2. Spin the spinner to see what place value to round your number. After you round, add that to the middle column.

This activity was created to use with my 3rd graders at the end of the school year. We were doing fractions up until the very last day of school, and I wanted to do something FUN! They loved drawing the picture. Actually, I graded the worksheet, then most students drew the picture on a bigger piece of paper. The final projects make for a great summer bulletin board, too!
