Wilson Digraph Slides include: sh, ch, ck, th, wh, qu individual sound slides and slides with sentences from Wilson book. In the slides, it first shows a slide with a picture then the following slide shows the spelling of the picture using the digraph. I used this in my classroom by presenting the picture discussing with the students what this picture would be using the digraph sound. Once the students know the word, I used letter tiles or white boards and asked the students to spell the word

Teaching style

My autism classroom is set up with 3 areas in mind. 1. Teacher Led Center: This is where I teach direct instruction with the curriculum of Unique N2Y and IEP goals. 2. Independent Work Tasks Center: This is where the students are assigned tasks that are more independent. My Autism Mentor Aides monitor this center and assure task completion and accuracy is taking place. Aides also take data on completed work. 3. Free Choice Center: This is the time that students have social skills practice, classroom expectations (clean up, organizing, sharing, etc.), and satisfy sensory needs.
