This is a basic nautical themed data notebook that can be used with any grade level. This data notebook consists of 3 pages of academic and personal goal setting that can be used throughout the school year. As students receive grades in science, math, social studies, spelling, and reading they can then be graphed within this data notebook to provide them with the opportunity to visually see their growth and changes by grading quarter. Also included is a page for students to reflect on their week

This sheet works perfectly along with my data notebooks or as an exit ticket when quickly assessing students. At the top students fill in the common core standard they have mastered. Then in their own words write an "I can..." statement for that standard. Below students can state the skills and strategies they use to master each standard. Lastly students can provide an example using their skills/strategies in action to master that standard.
