I am a retired teacher and credentialed Reading Specialist with 35 years of experience in the primary classroom. After years of developing my own curriculum, my peers urged me to present this material at the California Kindergarten Conference, which generated an overwhelming response to publishing my program. I have since grown this basic curriculum into the HeidiSongs product line and website, which now includes downloadable resources, music and educational videos streaming on HeidiSongs.tv.

Many of my songs and music videos have won Parent Choice and Academic's Choice awards, plus several awards from the Creative Child Magazine. I was also a Bravo Award Nominee and a Teacher of the Year Award Recipient.

I have a teaching credential from California State University, Fullerton. My Bachelor's Degree is also from there and is in Spanish Linguistics. I also got my Master's Degree there in Education with an emphasis in Reading Instruction. I have a Reading Specialist Credential.

I have written about 750 songs, including three musical plays for children! These were all created for young children from pre-k to second grade and were piloted in my own Kindergarten classroom in Southern CA. I have also written eight picture books: The Opposites Rhyming Book, Holiday Traditions Around the World, The 1-100 Book, The Gingerbread Man, Wiggles Learns the Rules at School, Wiggle's First Day at School, Wiggles Learns to Pay Attention, and Alphabet Action.
