Hello Tiny Humans

I created this for my "Tiny Humans" to be more specific in our objectives. We discuss each day what we will be talking about, what our "FOCUS" is, and why we are doing each activity. Gone are the days of "What did you do at school today?" "NOTHING!" When my little ones walk out the door each day, they are so excited to tell their parents about what we did - specifically! Send your kiddos home for the day with a fun, little rhyme. Print on cardstock, laminate, and hang by the door. Practice rhyming words on your way out...keep 'em engaged all day long!!

Your kids will LOVE this PowerPoint slideshow that accompanies the Syllable Song by Dr. Jean Feldman. Get them up and moving while they clap 1, 2, and 3 syllable words. Set up as a listen/repeat, I have included the actual word in the corner for YOU. (Song not included.) This set of classroom labels includes 132 real pictures of items that may be in early childhood classrooms. Each label has a highlighted Beginning Sound for integration through subject areas. They are FULLY EDITABLE and are made to fit into the clear, plastic pockets from the Dollar Spot at Target. There will be more labels to come and you will be able to update.

Have fun learning pictures & initial sounds with this fun song. I have included the original version with pictures and sounds (EX: apple, apple, /a/ /a/ /a/) and then another version that I switch to later in the year when the littles are ready (A, apple, /a/ /a/ /a/) This can be used as a PowerPoint slide show, or may be printed for a word wall or class book. Song is by Discovery Toys (not included)

If you teach little ones, as I do, you know the constant questions: "When is recess?" "When do we go home?" Using a picture schedule is the best way I know to stop the constant questioning. I use the pictures inside mini file folders and display on the board. When the task is finished, I simply close the folder. I always like to have multiple sets of ABC posters/cards in my room for the 'tiny humans' to look at. Here is a set I know they would enjoy! The dark background immediately draws their eyes to the pictures and letter, making it visually pleasing to little eyes.
