This resource includes a general goals page for Math and ELA Grade 1 Goals. This chart can be used while approaching the end of year to send home with parents so they are aware of what their child should be able to do by Grade 2. This chart can also be used at the beginning of Grade 1 to prepare parents for the year ahead and track their child's learning. (These goals are aligned with Manitoba, Canada Grade 1 Learning Outcomes). I have also included blank forms as well.
This activity is to be used for students to go on a nature walk and draw pictures of things they see. Then have the students write the beginning and end sounds of the pictures they drew. This is a great way to encourage beginning writing.
