This has become a wonderful way to do a quick and private check in with my 4th graders to ensure that they are feeling good about themselves, school and the week in general. It provides a safe space for my students to share how they're feeling both at school and outside of school. Through this quick and simple check in, I've found out many factors that have helped me better understand why a student might have been acting "off" that week and it then became a conversation starter to help my studen

Ready to print + use! Have your students find their Chinese Zodiac animal using this printable resource. They can also read about character traits for that animal. Then students can design their own paper money, color + cut. Great activity to do with your class or if you have a buddy class with younger or older kids. Optional: Go to a local Asian grocery store or Chinatown to buy Hong Boas (red envelopes) for your students to put their paper money in.
