I have been working in education for 27 years. I began as a reading tutor for 1st grade in 1984. From then till now I have taught K-12 music, Preschool, Kindergarten, and Special Education. I also homeschooled my children for 13 years. I have been a mentor teacher and and have authored the book, "The Learning Environment's Hidden Curriculum" .

A quick glance at crucial information, not only helps us in teaching but also in case of an emergency. I wrote this from my experience as a teacher but also as an EMR for our local fire dept.
Keep these forms in a binder that you can grab quickly as well as placed in a location where you can instruct staff to get them if needed. Remember that these forms are filled with confidential information, be cautious where they are stored.

Teaching style
I believe that the most effective teaching style is one where the students feel a sense of belonging. This is what is foremost in my planning. I focus on collaboration in the classroom and encourage a familial environment.

Additional biographical information
I have been married for42 years and have 3 adult children. My husband and I have been in full-time ministry for over 40 years. I am very blessed. I believe in the saving power and forgiveness that is available to all who surrender their lives to Jesus Christ. I believe that teaching is a demanding career and that God is the the one who helps me through each day.
My desire is to help teachers that are stressed and struggling. We have a position that influences the lives of many and can feel overwhelmed at times. I would like to encourage teachers to hang in there and know that you will make it. I want to create materials that make your job easier and allow you to rest at the end of your work day.
