Experience

You are the magic in the classroom—the real spark behind student success. My job? To hand you tools that make your job easier. Teaching style

I believe in teaching with heart, purpose, and just enough fire to light up a whole classroom. My style is equal parts creative, intentional, and grounded in real life—not Pinterest perfection. I show up every day to build connection, spark curiosity, and help students (and teachers!) grow in ways that actually stick. Empathy, energy, and encouragement guide everything I do. I don’t just want students to learn—I want them to love learning. I don’t just want teachers to teach—I want them to thrive doing it. BE THE CHANGE isn’t just a motto—it’s how I move.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I’ve been honored to receive Teacher of the Year at two different schools—proof that consistency, connection, and heart go a long way in the classroom. I’ve also been nominated multiple times for the Apple Award in Colorado (still waiting on my crown, but I’ll take the applause). Beyond the classroom, I’ve worked with: 🌿 Thorne Ecological Institute (Cohort Member) ⛰️ Keystone Science School & Keystone Institute These experiences have shaped how I teach science, support student inquiry, and design cross-curricular learning that feels natural and alive. The accolades are lovely—but the real win? Seeing students light up with confidence, curiosity, and creativity. That’s the gold.

My own education history

Additional biographical information

Three beautiful children, the world’s cutest grandson, a rescue Pitbull, an obnoxious parrot, one seriously disheveled guinea pig, two reptiles, a tank full of fish, and the fluffiest cats on the planet keep my life full of joy, fur, and just the right amount of madness. When I’m not dodging feathers or tripping over toys, I’m pouring my energy into creating authentic, engaging classroom experiences—and supporting fellow educators who are just as determined to make a difference.
