About the store

Experience

I am currently teaching 1st grade in middle sized district in Illinois. I student taught in 1st grade and spent a year in kindergarten. First grade is my dream grade and I have loved every moment of my career so far!

Teaching style

I have a mix of styles. I love any time I can implement technology into our day. I use a lot of audio and hands on lessons throughout my day.

My own education history

I graduated high school in 2010 from an Illinois high school. I attended UW-Whitewater where I majored in Elementary Education and minored in Spanish. I graduated in 2013 and spent a semester subbing in my home district before I was hired to my current position :] I currently have a masters in Literacy and am working on my reading specialist endorsement.

Additional biographical information

I live in Illinois with my husband and toddler son. We have a boxer named Larken who is a ball of energy. In my "free time" I love to go sailing, do crafts, play soccer and tennis.
