5 STAR VICTORY READER BOOK TALK GUIDE
After many years of teaching reading from grades 7 through 12, I have learned the value of synthesizing research-based strategies to help my students grow as readers WITHOUT killing their love for literature. My goal as an English Language Arts teacher and a librarian is to provide a simple system to have conversations with students using the "5-Star Victory" language that I created to remind my readers that they can direct their own learning. 5-Star Victory Reader Presentation
This is a great way to launch a 5-Star Victory Reader initiative. This presentation includes speaker notes. This is a proven and simple way to reinforce great reading strategies. I'm passionate about developing student leaders and we know that reading is critical to success. This will not only help students with practical solutions, it will build their confidence as they share with the 5-Star Victory Reader Book Talk Guide.

I moved to Indiana from England in 1990. Jon & I have three grown children: Amy, Chloe, and Jordan.I enjoy family time on Lake Waubee. The loves of my life are my grandchildren Evelyn, Lewis, Milo, and Eleanor. I am a Language Arts teacher, a former Administrator at WCHS, and current librarian at Lakeview Middle School. I enjoy Community Service Projects throughout the community and have a special relationship with Habitat for Humanity & CASA. Beyond the Classroom, I love finding off-the-beaten-track coffee houses to meet friends and family for long overdue chats; sharing laugh-out-loud movies; PINTEREST crafting at our Maker Club; reading several books at the same time in a desperate attempt to keep up with my Book Club; Blogging and Reflective Writing; Yoga; Zumba; hydrating my husband with cups of tea to motivate him during home improvement projects; attending local festivals and artisan fairs; and International Travel across the pond to the Motherland.
