"Right in the Middle of Middle School and love it!"
I teach 7th and 8th grade social science in San Juan Capistrano, CA. I am a certificated teacher with a single subject credential in social science.
I have been including DBQ projects in my lesson plans for the past 10 years. I include analysis of text and images in my lessons and stress writing standards, which is right in line with Common Core content standards

Teaching style
I have a variety of learning styles and abilities in my classroom. I must make sure that each lesson is differentiated for each student. In each of my classes I have about 20% EL students, so my lessons and teaching style is supportive of their needs. I continually work to help student achievement at all levels. A good lesson plan cannot work without classroom management that works. Enriching curriculum and good classroom management goes hand in hand.
