Students are first asked to conduct a short webquest to go "shopping" for infant development toys. Then, they are asked to create an original toy, or prototype, for a baby age 0-12 months. Write-up questions and internet links are outlined in the project. Also, assessment and evaluation rubrics are included.
Students explore Greek Mythology with this web quest based on the site www.mythweb.com. This usually takes one period (70 minutes). Follow-up activity - have students create a crossword puzzle based on the web quest. Also check-out the quiz based on this web quest listed in my products.

Students are asked to choose an English song and to create a Google Slides presentation. Each slide requires students to use various skills such as: reading, researching, expressing opinions, identifying parts of speech and speaking.

Researching the background of the artist
Expressing an opinion about the song
Reading the lyrics
Vocabulary
Creating a fill-in-the-blank worksheet for their song
This project is an oral presentation. The students were engaged and really enjoyed the

Students are given a definition and the first person to say or write the correct word wins the point.
Why are humans the only animals that cook? Great video for Food and Nutrition classes. The documentary discusses the science of cooking, taste buds, reasons why humans cook etc... Great activity to help students analyze quotes from the novel. Students must give meaning and context to the listed quotes in this assignment. This is also a great activity to prepare students for an essay. It provides students with a list of quotes from the novel from which to choose when writing their essays.
Fun activity for a Gr. 12 class. This lesson provides a list of 11 TED talks that students can choose from. Students watch the talk and then answer the reflection questions provided. Can be extended into a bigger assignment.

Students are given a choice of topics to research about the play. They must compile information by evaluating the validity of different websites and by identifying important information. Students then choose an appropriate graphic organizer to present their research.They are also required to cite sources using MLA format.
Can be used as an intro for Harper Lee's novel "To Kill a Mockingbird". Oral presentation as well as research required from students for this project.
