Every Friday I am going to have students write a letter to their parents telling them what they did in school. The parents will then write back over the weekend. I am using these pages to create a book. Each page is for a different month, so I will be making copies of each one depending on how many days are in that month. The last page is what the parents can write on. I will put that in between each of the student's pages.
I used this activity as a "preview" of the books Bud, Not Buddy and No Promises in the Wind. It gets the students thinking about what they would pack if they were running away - but they could only pack 3 things.
