This is a great activity to introduce the assembly line. Students start out by making as many paper dolls as possible by themselves. Then, the students get in a group and each have different jobs and pass them down an assembly line. Students will notice that they can make a lot more as a team. I cut out this board and pick these out of a cup and explain each as we go and the students put their markers on their board accordingly. I sometimes get students to pick them out for me. They love that! Whenever a student gets BINGO I have
This is a great activity for students to work together to analyze famous historical images and sort them into the time periods they belong. Here are the instructions that I have put on the last page of the document. Answer key is also included! INSTRUCTIONS: Give out the sheet(s) above. I separated my class into 2 groups. My students had to work in small groups (or pairs) to describe the image on their sheet. After they described each image they had to sort each image into a timeline that I cr

You can do this as a scavenger hunt or a sorting activity (or both)! I put up my instructions that I did, but you can do instructions based on what you want to do! Here's what I did... I used metal clips and taped them up around the school. Each group only got one of each of the pictures they were assigned. They need to make sure to leave the other images and the clips where they find them so other classes or groups can get them. Step 1: Give each group a list of the items they have to find. I

Teaching style
My goal is to make history easy to understand and interactive! I also value my students developing writing skills. My students who have gone on to AP History classes have mentioned that my preparing them has helped them in their AP classes. Because I teach so many differentiated learners, I want to make history understandable and palatable for all!
