Teaching style

I love to create an active, engaged, and student centered classroom for my students. My goal is to create lessons where the students are involved in the learning. I am a fan of guided note outlines with accompanying activities to help reinforce the content. In addition, I like to create lots of fun review activities to help them retain the material.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have a published lesson in NSTA Science Scope Magazine., https://my.nsta.org/resource/4400/tried-and-true-the-halloween-lab

My own education history

I graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor's of Science in Animal Science and Biology. I have my Masters of Education from Cabrini College. After working as a research biologist for several years, I stayed home to raise my young children for 14 years. I became a certified science teacher in 2006 and I love sharing my lessons with other teachers!
