Spring themed flashcards for counting up to a number and counting on from a number. For each number, there is either two lines before or two lines after for students to "fill in the blank" for by providing the missing numbers.

This activity could be whole group, small group, or be completed as a center. The overall idea for the activity is to help students understand that they are only using the number of bears that they have been asked to use within the problem. The other bears not needed will be under a cup (the den) until needed. For subtraction, the students will move the bears they subtract to the den as well. Reminding the students that they only use the number of bears that the problem shows is extremely import
