About the store
Welcome to Holistic Humanities! I’m Jennifer Brady — MLL Coordinator, certified instructional designer, and creator of quirky, thoughtful, and effective resources for English learners and the teachers who support them. With over 15 years of experience teaching English Language Arts and ESL in urban middle and high schools, I know how tough it can be to find materials that are truly accessible, academically rigorous, and actually fun. That’s why I started creating my own — and eventually launched Holistic Humanities to share them with educators like you. What you’ll find here: ✨ ESL-first resources with built-in scaffolds 📚 Engaging literature and history units with ELL supports 🧠 Project-based learning activities that spark critical thinking 🛠 Differentiated materials designed for real classrooms and real students Every resource is crafted with multilingual learners in mind, but adaptable for all students. Whether you're introducing complex texts, building vocabulary, teaching writing strategies, or exploring cross-cultural themes — there's something here to support your teaching journey. Have a question or a custom request? I’d love to hear from you: 📩 elearningwithjennbrady@gmail.com Let’s make language learning meaningful, joyful, and a little bit magical. — Jennifer Brady, M.Ed. Educator | Instructional Designer | ESL Advocate

Awards & shining teacher moments

I don't have a tangible reward, but my students come and eat breakfast in my room every morning, which I feel shows that they appreciate me. Recently the students in my class pooled together and bought me a bouquet of roses to show their appreciation. I have mentored 3 student teachers in my career so far, one is an assistant principal now, another is a dean of students, and another won teacher of the year for her district. I feel great about these accomplishments!
