To encourage students to write out each step of a problem, I have them draw a crust around the problem...solve, trace the triangle, and their answer is a pepperoni. They seem to really like this activity...and then we translate it to our workbook problems, but just drawing the pizza by hand.

This game is intended for 6th grades. Students find the volume of both rectangular and triangular prisms. In this game, a package is delivered by drone to a house doorstep. Student then have to pick which item they believe was delivered. DIRECTIONS: Students circle their guesses as to what is in the box BEFORE they solve the problem. Tell the students that once they have made their selection, they cannot change it. Once everyone has made their selection, they then solve the problem.
