With nearly 20 years of teaching experience, I’m passionate about creating engaging, inclusive resources that support all learners. For the past five years, I’ve been teaching in a virtual setting, building strong connections with students from across the country. Throughout my career, I’ve taught in a wide range of environments—from inner-city Title I schools to gifted classrooms—and have spent several years co-teaching in inclusive classrooms alongside ESE students. The new FSA writing requirements are challenging and exhausting for both teachers and students. I have found a way to help students become more comfortable with the demands of writing an essay. Each week students are given a passage and prompt. They will complete a portion of a graphic organizer each night and by Friday they are able to respond to the prompt. This packet includes two passages and an opinion prompt.

Teaching style

I’m passionate about integrating technology into everyday learning to make lessons more dynamic, relevant, and student-centered. As a project-based teacher, I believe students learn best when they can apply their knowledge in creative, hands-on ways. My resources are designed to encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and meaningful demonstrations of understanding through engaging, tech-friendly projects.

My own education history

I earned my BA in Elementary Education from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. I earned my Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology from Ashford University and my second Master's Degree from Liberty University in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on gifted education.
