This project has students independently research one individual from the Middle Ages and create a poster and artifacts using their researched information. Students will then complete a gallery walk and compare their researched individuals with their classmates. Activity to help students understand the importance of studying geography. Students will draw world map from memory and view mislabeled news maps. Also included is a map homework assignment.
Students will have a great time creating their own polis (city-state)! This is a wonderful beginning or review to a unit on Greece, Students will recall/research information about ancient Greece in order to design their own city- state. Welcome back questions to engage students on the first day back to school. Lets you get to know them. I put students in small groups and have them discuss. I then go around to each group and talk about the question. Finally, we discuss each question as a class.
