Honestly Simple

Complete human body system project including details, objectives, research websites, graphic organizer, and rubrics. Students will use online research tools to complete a Prezi. This system can be used without the Prezi component. It is easily transferable to a poster or oral presentation.

Students will explore questions that correlate with the All Around Illinois Regions and Resources companion guide by Andrew Santella. Use for 3rd and 4th grade Social Science curriculum or as a supplementary guide.

Engage Readers and Social Science Researchers with a project geared for researching the World Wonders. There are a selection of "wonders" both natural and man-made to choose from. The packet includes student directions, checklists, rubric, and graphic organizers for research components. Includes CCSS and I CAN statements for guided direction.

Students will investigate the solubility of materials with this selection of labs. The first lab includes a complete lab with materials, followed by a blank lab experiment sheet for students to develop their own investigation. There is an additional lab for limits of solubility to continue the exploration. A rubric is attached for all labs included.

A collection of graphic organizers that include the following * Main Idea and Supporting Details * Theme * Summary (SWBST) * Making Inferences * Compare and Contrast * Sequence and Chronology * Opinion Creation with Opposing Viewpoints * Character Traits Each organizer includes the Common Core State Standard AND "I CAN" statements that will guide the lesson. The standards can be modified for grade level as the graphic organizers provide general concepts.

This file includes graphic organizers for introducing character traits within text. It uses FAST (Feelings, Actions, Sayings, Thoughts) graphic organizer, character trait classroom/homework activity and rubric that addresses classroom participation and accompanying activities.

Two versions of weekly progress reports for school-home connection. They include behavioral checks for easy filling. Each form lasts for a total of four weeks and allows you to have specific communication with parents. These are great for REACH evidence as well.
