This is a power point companion designed to be used with the Oil Spill STEM activity found on www.teachengineering.org.
I took the lesson and made the power point to help guide you and your students through the lesson. Words are highlighted in the power point so that your students can fill in the guided notes packet that is on my site (for free!).
I added in a ton of great pictures as well as some extra pertinent information that was not included in the original lesson plan.
Guided notes and activity sheet for Oil Spill Cleanup STEM activity found at https://www.teachengineering.org/activities/view/cub_enveng_lesson01_activity1
It has been modified for 5th grade and adapted to use with my Oil Spill Activity Power Point.
My kids really like using the guided notes!
All of the materials and specifics of the project can be found at www.teachengineering.org
It is designed to be used with the powerpoint, however you could probably make it work without the powerpoint.
