About the store
Hi, I'm Kylie. I've been teaching around the world since 1996 - as an IB PYP teacher and coordinator, a Librarian, a creative writing teacher, and more! I've worked in eight countries - in IB Schools, American-style Schools, Inclusive Schools, and for a company that publishes kids' creative writing. I've worked in Cambodia, Germany, Eritrea, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, and New Zealand. I'm now using all of that experience to create products that I know are useful and easy for teachers, and fun and meaningful for students. I hope you find them helpful. My resources are: Inquiry-based, open-ended, hands-on, and engaging for kids EASY and LOW-PREP for teachers You won't find many worksheets in my store - just quality learning engagements that reflect modern teaching and learning, and IB Best Practice.

Teaching style

I believe that the most important thing about a classroom is JOY. If kids are happy to be there, they will be happy to learn. Kids who are engaged and interested will be motivated to do their best. Teachers who present open-ended work to their students will see the difference - in engagement, in levels of work, in self-motivation, etc. (Plus, you are not always having to recreate the wheel by making differentiated tasks).

Awards & shining teacher moments

"Best Classroom" Award "Above and Beyond" Award "Most Helpful" Award Creativity Award "Messiest Desk" Award (All voted by my colleagues at our end-of-year parties) And... my favourite... a student's card saying I was the 'BEAST' teacher.

My own education history

I grew up as a Third Culture Kid, attending an International School in Papua New Guinea, before returning to New Zealand for my secondary and tertiary education. I graduated a very long time ago with a Bachelor of Education and Diploma of Teaching. I've since taught in International Schools in: Cambodia, Germany, Eritrea, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan. And now I am back in New Zealand, for a little while - but planning to go overseas again after my son finishes High School in 2026.
