HOTS for Math

This activity contains four sets of 10 equations in standard form. Students need to graph each equation by solving for the x and y intercepts, plot the x and y intercepts on the coordinate grid, and connect them with a line segment. The activity also has a blank coordinate grid.

Get students talking by giving them HOT (higher order thinking) questions. Students will compare and contrast two graphs: they will try to find 3 similarities and 3 differences. There are 20 slides of questions, each followed by a slide with possible answers. Graphs include linear, quadratic, and exponential.
