I tried to incorporate as many late winter / early spring holidays so you can use it over a variety of weeks to suit your calendar. With my ESL students, I did have to explain blizzards, but you can edit vocabulary to suit your location and Spring weather.

Keeping control during checkout is usually the hardest part of the library class. I created these simple slides to let the kids know how they were doing. This slideshow is completely editable. I used emojis to have it be something non-readers can understand. I usually change up the emojis or colors each month or so. If I didn’t, the kids just got used to the loud/sad emojis and ignored them. I hope this helps keep your sanity. There is a K-2 one as well. Look out for it in the HoundTechTeacher T
