Theo the Thesaurus by Shelli Johannes is a great book to use to introduce the thesaurus or just a lesson on synonyms. Here is a ready-made worksheet that ties in with the book - or read-aloud on YouTube. Three separate worksheets to make sure kids at the same table have a different one. If you want to make a Bingo card for the kids to help them pay attention to the read-aloud, the vocabulary list for the book is attached. Happy synonyming!

Spring OPAC Practice
I try to have at least one library website or OPAC practice per quarter or season. I tried to give them a problem to solve as well as a search. This also gives them practice finding the call number on the results page. I tried to incorporate as many late winter / early spring holidays so you can use it over a variety of weeks to suit your calendar. With my ESL students, I did have to explain blizzards, but you can edit vocabulary to suit your location and Spring weather.
