This is a rough pacing guide I made for IB Mathematics: Applications & Interpretation HL. Since it has never been taught before, I do not know exactly how long I will need to spend on each topic, so I will update it as I go along. I have mostly gone topic by topic, but you can look at the Oxford textbook if you are interested in a more spiraled pacing. I see my students every other day for two years, so that is how I paced the course. However, it is editable for your needs. This is not meant

About the store

Experience

I have taught high school math since January 2016. I have taught most of the classes offered in Georgia: Foundations of Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2/Advanced Algebra, College Readiness Math, Statistical Reasoning, Advanced Mathematical Decision Making, AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB, IB Mathematical Studies, and IB Mathematics: Applications & Interpretation HL.

Teaching style

I use a mix of direct instruction for notes and activities and worksheets for practice. I often find great resources on TPT and create them if I cannot find something to fit what I am looking for.

My own education history

I have a Bachelors Degree in Applied Mathematics from Georgia Tech, a Masters in the Teaching from Georgia State University, a Specialist in Curriculum & Instruction from Kennesaw Mountain High School, and a Teir 1 Leadership certificate from University of West Georgia.

Additional biographical information

I love math because there are often many ways to do a problem, but always a correct answer. It is like a puzzle. In my free time, I also love to read, bake, cross stitch, and spend time with my husband and dogs.
