This graphic organizer is intended to be used by students taking AP Language and Composition or other students who are writing synthesis essays. This quiz is designed to be taken after a student has finished reading Part 1 of Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird. It has matching, true/false, and multiple choice questions. High school or middle school students should be able to be successful on this quiz.
This quiz covers the rhetorical appeals of ethos, logos, and pathos. It uses both definitions and examples and is a great way to quickly check for understanding of rhetorical appeals. This would be particularly useful for an AP Language and Composition class. It pairs well with the "Rhetorical Term Notes for AP Language and Composition" available in my shop.

This is intended to be used for the Team Multimedia Presentation in Performance Task 1 for AP Seminar. It helps students organize their thoughts and plan their presentations. Each portion of the College Board rubric is addressed in some way on the planning guide. This is the editable Word version. There is also a pdf version of this product available in my store.
The practice activity uses ten vocabulary words from the first half of The Odyssey. Students are asked to answer the questions in complete sentences using the words. Then, there is a quiz using fill-in-the-blank sentences with a word bank. Each sentence uses helpful context clues. This planner helps AP Seminar students see the connections between the content of their presentation and each line of the rubric for the Individual Multimedia Presentation.
This product contains directions and a rubric for a grammar project and allows for teachers to give easy individualized instruction. Once you identify patterns of error in student writing, you can assign this project for students to relearn and teach each other about those common errors. Students should be assigned their own most common error so that they can learn by teaching.
