Experience

Hello! I am an Agriculture and Food Science educator with a strong background in dairy production, animal science, and agricultural education. I am a graduate of Grace M. Davis High School, where my interest in agriculture began through active involvement in my high school FFA program

Teaching style

Today, I bring my academic background and real-world agricultural experience into the classroom, where I focus on hands-on, inquiry-based learning that connects students to food systems, science, and agriculture. I also serve as the Outdoor Lab Manager, Beef Advisor, and coach the Creed Speaking, Milk Quality and Dairy Products, and Best Informed Greenhand (BIG) teams. Through these roles, I am passionate about helping students understand where their food comes from, develop practical skills, and explore careers in agriculture, science, and industry.

My own education history

I earned my Associate Degrees in Dairy Science and Animal Science from Modesto Junior College, building a strong foundation in livestock management, milk production, and agricultural systems. I went on to complete my Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education at California State University, Fresno, preparing me for a career in Agricultural Education and student leadership development. I later earned my Master’s degree in Agricultural Education from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, further deepening my expertise in curriculum design, experiential learning, and career-technical education.
