This document includes dictionary definitions covering math words for 6th, 7th and 8th grade. These can be used to student practice and as a reference for teachers as they build classroom word walls and help students remember essential vocabulary.

This lesson includes an Engineering Design Challenge where students construct the tallest tower possible using a set of materials. The lesson connects to operations with integers as students connect the items they used to a credit or debt. Great for the first week of school with a built in getting to know you piece where students interview their engineering design team partner. Additional practice with integer operations is included.

This is a template for students to use when completing Engineering Design Challenges. All steps of the engineering design process are included with room for students to sketch and explain their thinking. This can be used to guide students through the engineering design process as you present challenges tied to other subject areas.
