About the store
With over a decade of experience in elementary education, I now serve as a Math Specialist in the great state of Oregon (Go Beavers!). I work with students across a wide range of academic and behavioral needs, from tier 2 to tier 3, and collaborate with teachers to strengthen tier 1 instruction in the classroom. I’m passionate about designing authentic materials that lead students to those “aha!” moments when they uncover mathematical patterns. In my world, math isn’t a silent, pencil-down subject — it’s a lively mix of discussions, debates, and structured routines that inspire flexible thinking. My mission is to help educators across the country create their own “thinking classrooms” that engage and empower students. I love learning, care deeply for students, and love creating ready-to-use resources that make a real impact.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instructional Design, and a Principal Certificate in the state of Oregon. Throughout my career, I’ve been intentional about pursuing a variety of teaching roles, knowing that first-hand experience in diverse positions will prepare me to be an effective principal who truly understands and supports the educators in our classrooms every day. In addition to my work as a public educator, I’ve gained unique experiences that complement my teaching roles. I recently completed a contract with Zaner-Bloser to write placement assessments and have taught sample lessons for curriculum reviews. I’ve designed year-long professional development plans, analyzed extensive data sets, facilitated teacher mentorship, and created instructional materials for my own students, entire classrooms, and grade levels across my district. Each project and resource I’ve developed has been met with measurable success, contributing to student growth and strengthening instructional practices districtwide.

Additional biographical information

As a licensed educator in the state of Oregon, I consistently meet and uphold the state’s professional teaching standards, ensuring my instruction is rigorous, student-centered, and aligned with best practices. My goal is to bring the same dedication I have for students into every piece of material I take create, whether it’s purpose is leading a lesson, mentoring a team, or building community beyond the classroom.
