About the store
I have taught in Iowa, Connecticut, North Carolina, Misssouri, Alberta (Canada), and Texas. I have a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance a Master of Arts in Gifted Education, and a Creative Writing Certificate. My teaching experience includes general and vocal music, creative writing, fifth grade generalist, and gifted education. I have worked with students in grades pre-K through 12, in public and private schools, most recently at two different IB - PYP schools.

Use a coding system with dates to record student progress on 5th grade TEKs. The Reading Skills checklist is front to back, with space to record independent reading book titles. Teaching style

I am a strong advocate for voice and choice in the classroom. I prefer student-centered, constructivist, inquiry-based, project-oriented instructional design. I'm on a mission to introduce every student to the next great book, and to create learning spaces where critical and creative thinking flourish.
