About the store
It all begins with an idea. About 15 years ago, I knew I needed a change in direction, and purpose. So after much prayer, I decided to substitute in our daughters school district. After 2 weeks I was offered a couple of full time positions, I thought sure why not, while I decide on my new life course. As I decided on my new path, I fell in love with teaching. It was hard and challenging but the joy in building students up was rewarding. So I began teaching as a Special Education Math Specialist, working with different Math Teachers, learning from each of them was invaluable. After a few years, I was blessed to obtain my Math Certification and moved into my own classroom. My classes were filled with a very diverse demographic. As a result I had to become very creative, engaging and purposeful in my instruction. I loved working with a wonderful group of students, a collaborative Math Team and administrators that gave me the room to flourish. It wasn’t easy but I learned through it all. Better yet was that my students flourished.
