Help build your students understanding of their academic needs with these cute reading and writing goals! The reading goals can be utilized as bookmarks so they have a preset goal to work on during any independent reading time. Writing goals can be tapped on to their writing folders/notebooks to act as a personal anchor chart to support their needs. Both goals are aligned with HMH curriculum and OG strategies.

HMH GRADE 2, MODULE 8 INTRODUCTION To start this module off, have students brainstorm what they already KNOW how to do and things they would like to LEARN how to do through research. Included on this worksheet are transitional words (including a version with numbers next to the transitional words as an additional scaffold) that students can use for a turn & talk where they tell their partner steps of one thing they already know how to do. Additionally, a picture support of possible options
Student Alphabet chart for beggining readers or to be used for struggling readers. I like to place these charts in a plastic sheet protector and then staple that to the students Reading folder. Having this chart out and visible can aid students in decoding unknown words. All pictures are aligned with the Orton Gillingham pictures.
These glow and grow cards are great for giving personalized feedback on students writing pieces. They also look great attached to writing pieces that are hung up on Bulletin Boards. With eye catching colors, aesthetically pleasing icons and actionable feedback for students, you are sure to wow administration and parents! The best part, you don't need to write anything down, just cut and staple! Enjoy! -Ineffable Teaching, your personal teaching assistant
These boarding passes are great to use for students who are writing a Non-Fiction Research piece of a specific LOCATION. These boarding passes can be printed and personalized with students' names and where they are "traveling" to! My students loved getting their boarding pass and traveling group (who they researched with). Enjoy! Ineffable Teaching, your personal teaching assistant
