Teaching style

As a constructivist, I believe in inquiry-based learning where students actively engage in their own learning through exploration and questioning. I emphasize the use of technology to enhance learning and stay up-to-date with educational tech tools that help students engage more effectively. I also incorporate multiple intelligence theory into my lessons, recognizing that each student learns in different ways. My mission is to create an inclusive, dynamic classroom environment that fosters critical thinking, collaboration, and curiosity.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I take great pride in my approach to diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments that allow me to accurately track my students' progress. Watching my students make substantial gains in their reading and writing skills is incredibly rewarding. I’ve also celebrated the success of many students who gained admission to their top-choice schools and universities. These moments reflect the impact of thoughtful, consistent assessment and individualized instruction.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and History, a Bachelor of Education, and a Master’s degree in Education. My diverse qualifications have enabled me to teach a variety of subjects across international and bilingual settings, with a particular focus on English language acquisition and literature. I also have ESL/EAL experience, helping students of all language backgrounds achieve academic success.

Additional biographical information

Currently, I live by the beach with my partner and two dogs. Outside of teaching, I’m passionate about developing my graphic design skills and video production skills. Oh yeah, I am a big time foodie as well. I am excited about starting my journey as a TeachersPayTeachers seller. I truly hope that these resources save you time and effort and that your students have a great time learning with them.
