This is a first grade report card created on Excel. The listings focus on California standards, but could be used for any first grade classroom. There is room for attendance, as well as progress in Math, Reading, Writing, Listening/Speaking, Social Development and Work Habits. These areas are reported as exceeded, meets or is not meeting grade level standard. This file can be modified to suit your preferences.

This is an assignment for the first week of school. It describes an activity called "me bags" where kids bring a few things from home to talk about in front of the class. It is a great way to get to know your students, as well as give them the opportunity to get to know each other. It is also good practice for their oral language skills. This activity was used in first grade, but would be appropriate for kindergarten, second grade and upper grades as well.

This is a progress report checklist for first grade. It is a quick way to update parents about their child's progress in various subject areas.

This is a quick half page assigment sheet for winter break. The first part of the note asks the student to complete any unfinished work attached. It also assigns reading and doing something to help the environment. Hope it is useful to someone!
