My own education history

Third-generation Seattle Public Schools student. Part of an inspiring open-classroom model in Columbia City in the 1970s. I was a compliant, but not very curious, student. I "played" school well and only later realized that there was a very different way of teaching and learning that was infinitely more rewarding for students and teachers . My mission now is to help teachers create curious, engaged classrooms!
