This interactive activity allows language learners to practice numbers 1-100 in any language classroom. Students are out of their seats asking and answering questions using the target language & numbers. ~InspiraLanguage
Students create a photo album (an actual photo album or PowerPoint with slide printed out) complete with pictures and descriptions of themselves and five other people (family, friends, etc). They may choose to use photos of celebrities if you prefer but must include one page about them. This files comes with detailed instructions, a useful vocabulary list (is Spanish but can be easily adapted to your language) & example, two rubrics for the project & the presentation, and a peer review page.
This is a great resource for students to put all of the irregular and regular preterite verbs in one place for studying and reference. Students first determine the rules and types for the regular and irregular preterite conjugations (FUJI, stem-changers, spelling-changers, etc) and then categorize verbs from the verb list into their respective boxes. This is followed up with sentences for practice.
This numbers and date quiz is a one-page quiz where students write numbers out in Spanish, answer questions about the months of the year, and identify the date & days of the week. There are two versions of the quiz and answer keys included. I have also used this is a homework assignment.
This PowerPoint is for Expresate Spanish 2 Chapter 4-Vocabulary 1 (Sports). The PowerPoint begins with straight vocabulary. I typically use this to introduce students to the vocabulary and try to use some funnier images to keep their attention. The last slide is for the game "Matamoscas" where students are in groups of two and try to hit the correct vocabulary with a flyswatter to earn a point for their team. It is divided into two sections (vocabulary and expressions). It also has the textbook page numbers for each section for students to use while studying at home. Students find this format very useful!
This time/ time expressions practice is great for more advanced Spanish students and includes time expressions like "since, until, etc." There is also some opportunities for students to translate sentences.
This chart is the traditional KWL chart in Spanish. Great for immersion and non-immersion classes alike! It allows students to organize what they already know, want to know, and learned on any given theme or topic. It's a great way to introduce students to a topic.
