I have 34 years of teaching experience in various private or state schools and institutes. I have also been a test item writer for a national publisihing house specializing in English as Foreign Language for over 20 years.
Teaching style
My teaching style is learner-centred. The materials I prepare and use in my lessons are focused on getting the learner to use the structures in appropriate contexts and situations and figuring out the way they work within the language. Learning comes before teaching, so the role of a teacher is to inspire the learners to find ways to learn something by themselves.
My own education history
Having graduated from the teacher training department of the University of Marara located in Istanbul, As I grew up in Germany, German is my second native language. I have been interested in learning languages for all my life, especially my self-taught French Spanish, and Italian.
Additional biographical information
I started my career as an English teacher first in state schools then in private schools and foreign language teaching institutions in Turkey. Currently, beside my main occupation as an English teacher both in a state school and a private one, I am also a content writer for a national publishing house for which I have been producing test materials and books for more than 15 years.
