About the store
Our Curriculum Director, Shekkola Gray, has worked for over 20 years in education. She began her teaching career as a catechist in high school, helping children prepare for the sacrament of holy communion. Following graduation, she worked for several years as a chemical engineer. In 2003, she transitioned to teaching at a small charter school her children attended. Three years later, she became a teacher and later the Middle School Director at the Post Oak Middle School, a school accredited by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). She rounded out her early career in education with experience as a science teacher, department chair, and science specialist for public school districts including Houstin ISD and Spring ISD. Shekkola went on to work in corporate settings until her return to the field of education in 2026. She is still enjoying the reunion.
